Dryopteris x australis - Dixie Wood Fern

Dixie Wood Fern is a native semi-evergreen fern with a clumping habit and glossy upright arching bright green fronds.  Thrives in rich, moist, acidic soils with bright shade.  Tolerates drought once established.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. It can tolerate wet soils and heavy shade.  Protect from winds.  No serious disease or pest issues.

LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Woodland Garden, Rock Gardens, Native Gardens, Naturalized Areas, Pond Edges, and Containers.

COMPANION PLANTS: Leopard Plant, Lungwort, Bleeding Heart
