Kalmia latifolia 'Galaxy' - Galaxy Mountain Laurel

Galaxy Mountain Laurel is a large evergreen shrub with a dense rounded habit and glossy green foliage.  Abundant clusters of white star-shaped flowers with bold burgundy marks bloom from late spring to early summer.  Flowers best with part shade and rich, moist, well-drained acidic soils.  

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low Maintenance.  Water regularly.  Mulch to retain moisture and keep root zone cool.  Prune lightly after bloom to promote bushy growth.  Susceptible to blights and leaf spot.  Watch for scale, borers, lace bugs, and white flies. Highly toxic if ingested.
